The Coronation Of The King

This sermon unpacks Jehoiada and Jehosheba’s righteous conspiracy against Athaliah “that wicked woman” in Judah to preserve the line of promise and coronate the true king on the throne of Judah.

Mark depicts for us the coronation of Christ, the true king. Unlike Joash where he is received joyfully with celebration, Christ was mocked, beaten, and killed to procure salvation for His people.
