SNAKE 100: Who Should We Be Willing to Associate With?
In this episode of Snake on the Table, Jerry and Tanner ask a question Christians need to think through carefully: who should we be willing to associate with? Not every alliance is church fellowship, and not every public association is an endorsement of everything a man believes or says. Christians need categories for church membership, worship, political coalitions, co-belligerence, public friendship, and real separation.
We talk about rough allies, immature Christians, “Christ is King” public figures, Christian nationalism, piety, coalition-building, and why some men are treated as enemies when they should be treated as brothers. The goal is not to erase discernment, but to recover better categories so Christians can labor together where they can, draw lines where they must, and stop confusing political cooperation with ecclesiastical unity.
